On March 6, a regular research session of the Digital Media Lab of the Higher Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (HI ITIS). jointly with the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications of KFU and Cerevrum company was held in Kazan. Cerevrum creates AR and VR simulations for soft skills training. The company uses NELS technology, which allows you to immerse the user in a learning situation and form the necessary communication skill using real experience as an example.
The study was conducted by Vitaly Abramov, Digital Media Lab Development Director, Natalia Khazieva, Associate Professor of the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications of KFU, and Oleg Radchenko, Head of Cerevrum Research Department. Volunteers were offered to take a VR-course on oratory training. The course includes theoretical training, diction exercises, self-presentation training and tests on the material passed.
“Now we are collecting data, the next step will be to use neurosensors to test our hypotheses. Thanks to working with the DML laboratory, we can do a lot of interesting research and improve the process of VR learning,” Oleg Radchenko said.
“We are pleased to cooperate with one of the largest companies engaged in VR-training. The exchange of experience and ideas is very important for us. We have ambitious plans, I hope that everything works out!” – shared Vitaly Abramov.
